International RnB singer Akon has disclosed that he signed Sarkodie on Konvict Musik.
He says the signing of the rapper known in real life as Micheal Owusu Addo was his way of pushing African artsites to the top.
According to the Senegalese-American singer, he did not make a dime after he signed the head honcho of the Sarknatives unto his label.
Addressing a press conference in Accra, Ghana on Sunday 29th December, 2019, Akon stated it is their job to help people without expecting anything back.
His comment was in response to a question asked by blogger Zionfelix whether there were any monetary gains following the signing.
The ‘Lonely’ crooner intimated that he is super proud of Sarkodie seeing how successful he has become.
He promises to extend a helping hand to the ‘Saara’ spitter anytime he calls on him.
The celebrated African-American musician told the press men that it is his goal to look at the bigger picture and make sure that every African artiste is well recognized and our culture is represented properly out there.
