The Ghana statistical service has recorded a number of about 80,000 rodents which were killed during the general fumigation on the 23 of March, 2020.
Animals including, Mice, rats cockroaches, snakes and Grass cutter’s were killed during the fumigation in the Makola market.
Over the past years, Makola Market has been the busiest Marketing hub for the residents in Accra and has produced so many species due to how dirty the market is and the knowledge to fumigate annually.
This exercise was called up due to the infection of the dreadful COVID-19 which can be spreaded in a choked place like the Makola Market.
Thanks to the government for bringing up such an effective idea.
