Ten Guineans who test positive for Coronavirus in Tamale will be repatriated back to their country of origin, the Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has said.

He said Ghana is working with Guinean authorities to ensure that they are repatriated, adding that they will not be treated here.

In addition, he said the 10 persons came into Ghana 11 days ago before the president announced the closure of the country’s land, sea and air borders.

According to him, the Guineans where under mandatory quarantine under the direction of the Regional Security Committee of the Northern Region. This was after authorities in Tamale were notified about the arrival of the Guineans.
