The lynx Entertainment signee, Nana Dwamena popularly known as Kidi has finally disclosed the real meaning of his stage name, Kidi.
A lot of people have mistakenly linked the name Kidi to being a little boy or a Mummy’s puppet.
But speaking to Jacinta on Area Code, Kidi indicated that the stage name has nothing to do with being a kid or Mummy’s pet.
For over the years people have always wondered about the meaning of his stage name is and whether it has anything to do with being a kid.
He said the name was given to him by Richie Mensah who thought he needed something short but very iconic.
He explained Kidi is a Hauza word and it is also a name of a drum used by the people of the Volta region that produces a unique sound which plays a key role in the borbor dance moves.
