Now that the 2020 general elections are nearly here, political parties do not stop at anything but try to persuade the people, with the country’s famous celebrities and their songs should there be any.
Shatta Wale seems to have made a U-turn in politics as his latest post on social media indicates no political party can use his pictures or name on any political campaign or forum in moving forward.
We know that Shatta Wale is a strong supporter of the NDC because of his father’s association with the party and he’s also someone the current president Nana Akuffo Addo loves so it looks like Shatta is caught in the middle.
Now, for a fact, he knows that one of these two major political parties will certainly use his songs for campaigning after his connection with them, so he came out unequivocally to say that no one should use his songs to Campaign. It will undoubtedly cause the political parties to formally approach him to perform on their campaign grounds if they intend to use his songs to make him gain some ‘fat’ money
Shatta Wale and his team have made a perfect business decision; the guy knows the market very well. Perhaps he has his own reasons for posting that too.
