DopeNation Finally Replies Kelvyn Boy

According to Kelvyn Boy, the Afrobeat award category was created because of him, and thus, he should have won the award but things did not go his way as DopeNation snatched the award.

The hitmakers of “Eish”, DopeNation was awarded the Afrobeat song of the Year with their Zanku song at the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards which infuriated Kelvyn Boy.

According to Kelvyn Boy, the Afrobeat award category was created because of him, and thus, he should have won the award but things did not go his way as DopeNation snatched the award.

Kelvyn Boy was reported to have stormed out of the VGMA after DopeNation was announced the winner of the category and he even followed it up by unfollowing all his Instagram followers.

The Ghanaian music duo, DopeNation, composed of Micheal Boafo, popularly known as B2, and Tony Boafo, known as Twist have opened up after winning the Afrobeat song of the Year with their Zanku song at the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

The duo spoke to Abeiku Santana over what happened at the VGMAs.

“We appreciate everybody that was nominated. You could see that category was very tight and Kelvyn Boy was nominated and DopeNation was also nominated and charley the people voted. We have this award now and we are thankful to everybody for voting, this is big.”

DopeNation is a Ghanaian musical duo of identical twin brothers, composed of Micheal Boafo, popularly known as B2, and Tony Boafo, known as Twist.
