The Electoral Commission of Ghana says it has opened another window for registration.
According to the Commission, this is to offer Ghanaians who are eligible the opportunity to register.
This window according to a statement from the Commission will be opened on October an is expected to last for a day.
The registration will start at 7am and end at 6pm at the various District Offices of the Electoral Commission.
“The Electoral Commission (EC) wishes to inform the General Public that it is re-opening the Voters Registration Exercise for one day. This is to give opportunity to those who have attained the age of Eighteen (18) and Citizens who for one reason or the other were not able to register in the just ended Registration Exercise. The date for the exercise is Thursday, 1st October, 2020,” a statement from the commission said.
It added that “the Registration will take place in the district offices nationwide”.
Meanwhile, the National Democratic Congress has complained about the voters’ register which they say has several flaws and have called on the Electoral Commission to rectify the various anomalies identified during the period of exhibition.
According to the party, it will not accept a flawed election if the Electoral Commission does not address its concerns raised.
