After the opening of Ghana boarders, the Ghanaian authorities said travellers arriving through the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) Accra, will pay US$150 for COVID-19 test as part of measures to control the spread of the Coronavirus in the country.
However reactions from Ghanaians who were stacked overseas during the massive spread of the deadly Coronavirus pandemic indicates that, the decision from the Ghanaian Authorities didn’t go down well with them as they claim the amount the government of Ghana is taking from them is too much.
In a Facebook live section with fans, Ghanaian hiplife artist, Emmanuel Kofi Botchwey, known by his stage name Kwaw Kese who is part of the Ghanaians who were stacked during the massive spread of the virus have added his voice to it and according to him, the decision by the government to take US$150 for COVID-19 test is a broad daylight scam.
According to him, he has done the COVID-19 test for US$5 and have tested negative for the virus as a result, he do not see why he should come to Ghana and pay US$ 150 for a test he has already done.
He also noted that, it isn’t that he can’t pay the US$150 but he won’t pay because it’s a scam so he will continues to stay overseas until the COVID-19 test is canceled at the Airport.
