This year’s general elections scheduled for December 7th is gradually approaching since we are left with two more months to catch up with it for the exercise to take place.
The general public, Electoral Commission responsible for the exercise and all political parties are preparing ahead of the exercise for a peaceful and fair elections come December 7th.
Following this, all political parties included the two main political parties in Ghana – the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) and it’s direct opposition party, National Democratic Congress(NDC) are out there Campaigning.
Campaign promise are being made during campaign tours and political programs as every political parties’ aim is to win the heart of many Ghanaians so they vote them to win the presidential and most parliamentary seat come December 7th.
The ruling NPP’s ‘biggest’ campaign promise which I’m not afraid to say help them win last four year’s general elections, Free Senior High School policy is still on as they ask Ghanaians to give them four more years to continue it.
However, an “Emotional” Free SHS campaign advertising has popped up and Ghanaians can’t stop talking about it.
The Free SHS advertising sees a sorrowful JHS Students begging Ghanaians to remember her since she believes her education depends on our vote – indirectly telling Ghanaians to vote for Nana Addo so he continues his Free SHS polity.
Having said that, former President and flag bearer for the direct opposition party NDC, John Dramani Mahama has said that, if he is been voted as the president of Ghana, he will not take off the Free SHS policy but rather take of the gold and green track system.
Take a look at the Free SHS ad and some reactions from Ghanaians below
