Kumawood is a privately owned movie and awards industry that is based in Kumasi Ghana. It was founded by Samuel Nyamekye a Ghanaian Business man and Entrepreneur.
The industry has been very much lucrative because of their consistency in producing and providing good quality content to their cherish movie admirers but unfortunately it has hit the rock due to management issues as it has collapsed.
Numerous local movie stars and veterans saw the limelight through the Kumawood industry with their unique talents and roles they portrayed in movie scenes which won the hearts of Ghanaians.

Meanwhile, Mr. Samuel Nyamekye’s father passed on for about two months ago as his final burial rite was held yesterday at Ashanti Bekwai which saw a lot of movie stars who have been off the scene for over ages now as they reunited in a lovely way every movie lover would wished to see.
Mr. Samuel Nyamekye is a highly respected movie producer who is behind the fame of Nana Ama Mcbrown, Kojo Nkansah Lil Win, Emelia Brobbey, Bill Asamoah and many more.
These Actors and Actresses tried extremely well to mourn with Samuel Nyamekye at his father’s funeral.
They showed up in their numbers to show appreciation to their CEO regardless of the collapsed industry. Loyalty is rare to find by they really showed their loyalty to the person who made them who they are today.
Kumawood acts with the likes of; Agya Koo, Mercy Asiedu, Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win, Nana Ama Mcbrown, Emelia Brobbey and many others teamed up to support Mr. Samuel Nyamekye.
They didn’t only showed up but they donated huge sum of money to pay tribute and performed a high life music to inspire the bereaved producer.
