Confusion In The Camp Of The NDC After The Death Of Rawlings


In as much as the nation and Africa at large is mourns the loss of Ghana’s first President of the Fourth Republic, and founder of the National Democratic Congress, His Excellency Flt Lt. Jerry John Rawlings, members of his political are busily contradicting themselves. 

It could be recalled that, after the sudden demise of the former president, Jerry Rawlings, the Failed Presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Stephen Atubiga came out to react to it as he address the issue of the family informing Nana Addo about the death of Rawlings before informing the leaders of Rawlings’ political part he founded.

According to Mr. Stephen Atubiga, the family of late Rawlings informing Nana Addo about the death of Rawling before informing the NDC party is a big mistake they’ve ever done. He stated that, they should have inform the NDC first and together with the party, they select some executives to join the family to inform Nana Addo.

However, the General Secretary Of The National Democratic Congress, Asiedu Nketia popularly known as general mosquito in an interview this morning have said that, there is nothing wrong with the family informing Nana Addo first since leaders of the political party as at when the former president passed on were not in Accra.

He also stated that, the founder of the NDC party is not only a founder but a former president who ruled for a very long time in the history of Ghana, hence there was nothing wrong with the family informing the current president first.

He however added that, Atubiga is an ‘ordinary’ part member who has no position in the party so Ghanaians shouldn’t take him serious when he says something in the name of the NDC
