“I feel ashamed that we campaigned to remove you from power” – A Plus sadly tells Mahama on his birthday

Ghana and the whole National Democratic Congress is in a celebratory mood because today marks the birthday of one of the stalwarts in the party who also doubles as their leader and flagbearer in this year’s election. Today happens to be the 62nd brithday of Former President John Dramani Mahama. He was born on November 29, 1958 and happens to be one of the last burns of November. 

As such, Ghanaians have been celebrating him and his towering legacies in the political history of the country. His family including his wife Madam Lordina Mahama and his daughter Farida have all sent their heart-touching message to him. Many politicians including John Dumelo, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, Haruna Idrisu among others have also wished him long life.

Ghanaian musician and anti-corruption campaigner Kwame Asare Obeng widely known by his showbiz name Kwame A-Plus has caused a massive stir online with his birthday message to the leader and flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Ex-president John Dramani Mahama. As party of his way to celebrate Mr. Mahama, he indicated that he feels so much ashamed for campaigning to vote him out of office in 2016.

In his message to Mahama, he registered his disappointment in the Akuffo Addo-led NPP government over their failure to meet the expectations of the general public. He bemoaned the unprecedented level of economic hardships and corruption that is taking place in the current government. 

In a post sighted on his official Facebook page, he composed; 

“Happy birthday JM, I feel ashamed that we campaigned to remove you from power because Akonfem flew to Burkina Faso, and corruption only to bring the ‘mother serpent of corruption’….” 

He added, “Sometimes, I sit down and wonder how we removed you because you had many ministers and accused you of running family and friends government only to bring this man and his family government and many appointees like Keta School Boys.
