Finally Ghana goes to the polls today December 7th to elect the next president of the fourth Republic of Ghana and the 275 members of parliament to represent their various constituencies.
As at 7:00am all polling stations was set for the exercise and as we speak a lot has already happened. Citizens spoiling ballots by voting all the presidential candidates on the ballot paper, already thumbprint ballot papers, voting twice, just to mention a few.
However, we claim we want peace before, during and after the elections.
Another disturbing issue from the ongoing voting exercise is an allegedly cutting off president Akufo Addo’s picture and making John Mahama the 1st on the ballot to fan-fool the elderly persons who all they know is to vote number one on the ballot for nana Addo.
The photo of such incident upon hitting the Internet has generated a lot misunderstandings between members of the two main political parties – The ruling New Patriotic Party led by Nana Addo and it direct opposition National Democratic Congress led by John Mahama.
