In the late hours of yesterday, December 8th, Electoral Commission of Ghana certified 7 regional results and declared on its social media pages and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo so far won in four regions out of the seven regions that the
Central Region, Oti Region, Ahafo Region, Volta Region, Bono Region, North East, Upper West, Central, Ahafo, Bono and North East Regions were the 7 certified regional result released by the Electoral Commission of Ghana.
Despite the fact that Nana Addo Won 4 out of the 7 region, the cumulative votes of the 3 regions which John Mahama won puts him in the lead with a total of 1, 997, 450 while Akufo-Addo stands at 1, 500, 310; a difference of 497, 140.
However, the electoral commission of Ghana has released 4 more certified regional results making the certified results of regions 11 now out of the 16 regions in the country.
The EC dropped the results on its Official and Verified Facebook page and has been sighted .
Savanna Region, Upper East Region, Western Region and the Ashanti Region were the new Certified Regional result released by the Electoral Commission.
Unlike the previous regions, John Mahama won two region, Savanna and Upper East Region; leaving the remaining two for the NPP’s Nan’s Addo.
Despite the fact that John Mahama was leading in the previous Certified Regional results released, the cumulative votes of the 4 regions released puts Nana Addo in the lead with a total of 3,986,803 while John Mahama stands at 3,528,894; a difference of 457,909.
