The much anticipated 2020 Elections have finally came to past successfully even though the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are Petitioning that the Election was rigged. The Electoral Commission of Ghana Chairperson, Madam Jean Mensah declared Flag Bearer of the ruling government, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo – Addo as the President elect for the 2020 Election.
The Results was announced on the 9th of December, 2020 after three days of Collation. The National Democratic Congress members from the Flag Bearer, John Dramami Mahama don’t seem to concede defeat anytime soon because they never lost the Election as they reiterate that, they were cheated big time.
But under the 4th republic, no Party has ended a four year term in office but the National Democratic Congress seems not to agree to the Electoral Commission declaration even after the New Patriotic Party are now heading to their second term.
However today, the Minority leaders in Parliament stormed the streets of Accra whiles they also embark on a Protest in black as they headed to the Electoral Commission headquarters on foot to Protest against Madam Jean Naana.
Meanwhile, a popular Lawyer who has been deemed as a New Patriotic Party supporter and a Predictor of Elections has predicted the winner for the 2024 election ahead of time with conditions.
According to Lawyer Effah Dartey, the probability of the New Patriotic Party winning in the 2020 Election is not as high as the the NDC if John Dramami Mahama stands as the Party Flag Bearer once again.
Speaking, he stated that, John Dramami Mahama will be in a comfortable lead in the 2024 Election but if the New Patriotic Party delegates makes a good decision over their next Flag Bearer, it will go a long way to help them in the 2024 Election against the NDC.
