Apparently the president-elect, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been sworn-in in a beautiful inauguration yesterday January 7th for his second term in office as the Head Of State.
However, following the controversies surrounding the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections, the direct opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) led by former President John Dramani Mahama have said their party will not recognise Nana Addo as the president of Ghana until all issues surrounding the elections are resolved.
This was made known to the general public by the General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia popularly known as General Mosquito, at a press briefing in Accra on Friday, 8th, January, 2021.
“Notwithstanding the swearing-in, the NDC shall not recognise Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo until all the issues surrounding his flawed election are satisfactorily resolved”. General Mosquito said in this in the press briefing.
In such much as the inauguration of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as President of Ghana for a second term in office was successfully held yesterday, the opposition party is currently challenging the outcome of the December 7 Presidential Election at the Supreme Court.
