On January 7,2021 the President-elect of the Republic of Ghana, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his Vice President, Mahamadu Bawumia were sworn in for their second term in office.
The inauguration ceremony despite the misunderstanding between the NPP and the NDC at the Parliament House earlier that day came on successfully even though the NDC boycotted the ceremony to honor the lives lost during the 2020 Election.
The swearing-in this time around was not held at the Independent square but at the Parliament House which saw several politicians and dignitaries of the land, other Heads of States, Diplomatic Corps , etc.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) female members of Parliament who showed up at the ceremony in their beautiful Kente clothing are; Ursula Owusu, Lydia Alhassan and Dakoa Newman. These newly elected MPs in the 8th Parliament were looking outstanding at the ceremony with how they dazzled in their outfits.
