I never respected Kennedy Agyapong until the 7th December, in fact i salute him – Sam George

On the 7th of January, 2020, it was an eyesore when the Members of Parliament between the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) clashed in Parliament over the election of a new Speaker of Parliament which took place at dawn.

During thee feud, one of the unbelievable action which put Ghanaians into a total disbelief was after when Kennedy Agyapong was caught on a camera playing the role of a peacemaker to settle the chaos that occurred.

A video emerged on the internet that filmed the moment Kennedy Agyapong was restoring peace between his fellow parliamentarians in the Parliament House.

Apparently, an argument ensued between the NDC MPs and NPP MPs and instead of Mr Agyapong joining in the fight, he decided to act maturely by sitting quietly and got involved only when he wants to try to reduce the tension.

Kennedy Agyapong, is known as very courageous and valiant by many, has regularly picked fights with others, but in the Chamber of Parliament during the contentious election of the Speaker, Mr Agyapong was surprisingly engaged in calming tempers and talking his colleague MPs on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) side out of confrontations.

Kennedy Agyapong, a long-standing MP for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been praised by many for behaving honorably in Parliament even as others engaged in violent exchanges and even outright fights.

However, the member of Parliament for the Ningo Prampram constituency popularly known as Hon Sam George has heap praises on Kennedy Agyapong for behaving maturely in Parliament.

According to Sam George, he has been overwhelmed by Kennedy Agyapong’s decent behavior when both parties clashed in Parliament which actually has tarnished the image of some MPs in Ghana. He heaped Praises on Kennedy Agyapong and vowed to salute him anytime he meets him in Parliament for doing the needed action.
