New Patriotic Party (NPP) Members of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong, Kwabena Tahir Hammond, Afenyo-Markin and Frank Annor Dompreh have won Asawase Member of Parliament, Muntaka Mubarak’s heart.

After the counting of votes for Professor Aaron Mike Oquaye was done, the MP for Tema West, Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, snatchedthe ballot papers from the Clerk and endeavored to escape the house with it.
However, the Chief Whip of the NDC chased and grabbed him to recover the papers.
Muntaka speaking on an interview at Joy News, Muntaka said the four MPs were in steady touch with him to choose the most ideal routes in settling the disarray.
Mr Muntaka said he was especially stunned by Kennedy Agyapong’s disposition and that of the four other people who he said made suggestions to their side.
“They did so well and continually attempted to connect on how we get out of the circumstance; K.T Hammond, Afenyo-Markin and Annor Dompreh were the peacemakers for that day for me,” he said.
He said the four MPs should be exceptionally commended, adding nobody could have predicted the turnout of events if they had joined in the mayhem.
“I kept telling them, we should go by the law and that I can even change the agent which was myself but I told him so far as they continue to follow their party’s instructions of breaking the law, we will not get out,” he explained.
Mr Muntaka added that their solicitation for harmony to win was so wonderful, adding they continued coming to him to ask despite the fact that large numbers of their partners were yelling affronts.
Mr Agyapong, particularly, was depicted as the peacemaker by numerous masses after he was seen calling for peace among his associates in Parliament.
His quietness and call for harmony in the House on Thursday came as a stun to numerous with many questioning he was even present.
