Kennedy Agyapong Vows Not To Contest For 2024 Election


The Member of Parliament for the Assin Central Constituency known as Hon Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has been very popular for recently after descending on some self acclaimed Prophets in Ghana whom he tagged as fake Prophets who are using dubious and deceitful means to dupe ignorant congregants.

Kennedy Agyapong is also known for his bold, courageous and transparent demeanor on the Political grounds and has additionally won the hearts of Ghanaians with his unique character which has even acquire him an International recognition for being one of the fair and straightforward Politician in Africa.

The Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong has revealed that, he did not want to contest the 2020 Election but was urged to do so.

According to Kennedy Agyapong, he has worked in Parliament as the Assin Central MP for over 20-years and needed to call it a quite before the 2020 Elections but some chiefs in his area pleaded with him not to call it a quit.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s ‘Ekosiisen’ Kennedy Agyapong stated that, over the 20 years of his service to the NPP and his constituency, the time has come for him to bow out of politics and focus on his health since he has done enough for his constituency already, he need to give way for other aspirants to take over.

He disclosed that in the year 2024 he will bow out of politics and allow some NPP aspirants in his party to also represent the constituency.

Reacting whether he will select a candidate to replace him, Kennedy Agyapong said he is not going to select any person to replace him but rather the person’s hard work and determination will show whether the members of the constituency will back him or her to represent them.
