Member of Parliament (MP) for Keta Constituency, Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpe, has revealed that his life is under danger after to surviving another assault from alleged Armed men.
Mr Gakpe, following a second endeavor on his life, is requesting that the public authority gives him security.
My life is at serious risk. They want to get rid of me. I need the State security to save me. I am putting resources into my security however it would appear that that isn’t sufficient thus the State should dominate and guarantee my security since I am an MP, else they will eventually kill me,” he said.
The MP was first assaulted in quite a while in his private home at Keta just before December 8, 2020, after he won the parliamentary seat of the Keta Constituency on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress. He was admitted days at the Keta Government Hospital where his wounds was treated after which he moved out of the Keta town.
Some presumed Armed me on Sunday morning again assaulted a gas filling station, Roofsenaf Filling Station which belongs to the MP located at Accra-Aflao Highway
As indicated by the MP, he had a call from his sibling at 2:am on Sunday, January 10, 2021, who informed him about the theft assault.
Talking on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem Monday, the depressed MP uncovered that, a prepared safety officer who knows how to use a pistol gun guarding the filling station was not on the job thus the which made the Armed men to attack and shoot two laborers who have suffered from serious wounds.
“There are around six filling stations there on the expressway, Alinco and the rest, as I’m astounded they sorted out mine and assaulted it, you know yesterday I sent my driver home (Keta) so they may have felt that I was visiting the area and that is the reason I accept they assaulted my filling station,” he described.
