Akufo-Addo would have appointed me as a Minister but he pleaded with me to maintain my position – Abronye

New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe, has uncovered he was eyeing a position in government however was talked out of it by President Nana Akufo-Addo to be content with his current position.

He disclosed that, the President needs him to keep continuing party work to empower him complete his “project”.

“President Akufo-Addo needs me to assist him with his project to consolidates his benefits and handover to an NPP government in 2024,” he revealed this on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show on Friday.

Mr Baffoe, prominently known as Abronye DC, said he needed an appointment in a state agency since he is more than qualified.

“Aside from Attorney General, I fit the bill for any position in government however after a long meeting with the President, I retracted my intentions,” he expressed.

The Bono Regional Chairman showed that given the strength of the opposition National Democratic Congress, they need individuals like them to counter the vile propaganda and communicate government approaches to Ghanaians.

Abronye DC engaged footsoliders who are likewise bumping for positions to allow President Akufo-Addo to settle on the right decisions.

Abronye DC is popular on Twi speaking radio stations and always making the work of the NDC very difficult. He is famously known for always attacking John Mahama with his harsh statements and has been involved in several controversies in the media. His harsh comments and his style of arguing makes him fun to watch always.

Abronye was also in the news for some controversies which circulated around the demise of Former President John Evans Atta Mills. Abronye DC accused former president John Mahama of having a hand in Mills’ death. He was invited by the CID of the Police after John Mahama reported him but the case has been futile.
