I felt danger ahead for Ghana when NDC occupied the majority seats, good they are still the minority – Pius Enam Hadzie fumes


Although this election has favored the New Patriotic Party (NPP) much than their Party biggest rival’s, The National Democratic Congress (NDC) after the Flag Bearer of the Party, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo came out victorious in the Presidential Polls.

Unfortunately, the New Patriotic Party lost over 37 seats in the just ended 2020 Election to their rival, NDC. This brought the members of Parliament between the two Parties to 137 to 137 evenly putting the NPP in a tight corner for losing such greater number of seats in Parliament. This has come as one of the overwhelming shock in the Party’s history.

Deputy Information Minister, Pius Enam Hadzide has commended the NPP MPs for storming Parliament at such an dawn ahead of the NDC MPs after the NDC also did something similar on the 6th of January 2020.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has 137 seats in Parliamen as opposed to the Party’s 169 seats in 2012.

There have been various clarifications for certain pundits accusing the NPP defeated MPs for the Party’s parliamentary seats lost but once they are still the majority in Parliament, they feel much better.

According Enam Hadzie, After the National Democratic Congress members stormed parliament early to occupy the majority seats in the on the 6th of January, he felt a serious danger through his instincts over what their controversy can cause the NPP.

The Deputy Information Minister urged the gathering to join hands together and leave their past behind them.

He also encouraged defeated NPP MPs to do their homework well and bounce back in Parliament in the 9th Parliament and so recover the lost seats which has putting the NPP in tight corner in Parliament despite coming out as the majority group in Parliament after the Formena Independent candidate joined the Party.
