The Presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, lost the 2020 decisions as a result of the absence of lucidity on his position on the implementation of the Free Senior High School (SHS) program, Pollster and Managing Editor of the Daily Dispatch, Ben Ephson has said.

Mr Ephson said his fundamental examination work on the 2020 Polls shows that most parents whose kids were benefiting from the SHS and the others whose children are about to benefit from the program were uncertain of Mr Mahama’s position on the program hence their choice to vote in favor of President Nana Akufo-Addo.

He clarified that he was somewhat going to end the double track system by expanding infrastructure to accommodate all the students benefiting from the program.

Mr Mahama further approached Ghanaians to dismiss the cases against him that he planned to cancel the program.

He said: “Ghanaians are adapting to voting skirt and blouse, deciding that they will punish the Member of Parliament and vote for the president.

“I have started doing research in 2021 and one of the things which is coming out is that because of the lack of clarity from the NDC’s candidate John Mahama on the free SHS, parents who have kids going into free SHS and who have kids in SHS especially the swing voters, may have decided that they will vote out the NPP MPs but because they want to take advantage of the free SHS they voted for President Akufo-Addo.
