A number of people have been arrested in Abura in Cape Coast following their failure to wear their face mask as instructed by the government of Ghana to help reduce the massive spread of the deadly Coronavirus pandemic which is fast spreading now.
In a number of photos fast trending on social media via Facebook, a number of people were seen being dragged by the Ghana police for walking around without wearing their face mask.
A Lady was seen taken out of a car by the police for not wearing her face mask while others were arrested while walking about without their face mask on.
Wearing Of face Mask, maintaining social distancing, frequently washing hands with soap under running water and other safety protocols to help reduce the spread of the virus has become mandatory following the rate at which the virus is fast spreading.
In the 22nd address to the nation of the measures put in place to reduce the massive spread of the deadly Coronavirus, His Excellency Nana Addo urges all Ghanaians to adhere to the safety protocols to combat the virus and also directed the Ghana Police Service to ensure that all nightclubs, pubs, cinemas, and beaches that break the law of mask-wearing are closed.
In Tema, the Tema Regional Police Command has arrested 105 persons who were seen walking around without a face mask.
However the photos after hitting the Internet has caused massive stir online as some social media users took to the comment section to react to it.
Some believed the arrest of people without face mask should have been done in a beginning when the virus hit us here.
