Today marks the final day of the four days State Burial For the first president of the fourth Republic of Ghana and founder of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), His Excellency Lieutenant Jerry John Rawlings as everyone is expected to pay his or her last respect to the falling soldier before he goes home today.
As a result, former President and political rival of Late Rawlings, His Excellency John Kofi Agyekum Kufuor has paid his last respect to the falling soldier at the Black Stars Square in Accra where the final funeral ceremony is being held.
As we all know, the 4-day State funeral ceremony held for the late Rawlings started Sunday January 24, 2021 with a requiem mass service held for him.
Dignitaries with the likes of the president of the Republic of Ghana, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Former Presidents and leader of Rawlings’ political party founded, John Dramani Mahama and John Agyekum Kufuor all filed past the body which was laid in state at the Accra International conference on Monday and Tuesday.
The final ceremony is being held at the Black Stars Square and photo of JA Kufuor paying his last respect to Rawlings have popped up.
