First president of the fourth Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Flight Lieutenant Jerry john Rawlings has finally been buried in a beautiful and Iconic State Burial which commenced from January 24, 2021 and ended successfully yesterday, January 27, 2021 at the black star square in Accra, Ghana.
The former head of State passed on the 12th Of November 2020 after suffering from a short illness. He was said to have been admired at the Korle Bu teaching hospital few days after the Burial of his beloved mother.
The said illness which led to his sudden demise is still unknown to the general public.
Jerry John Rawlings popularly known as Papa J was successful buried at the newly built Military Cemetery in Bema Camp after the four days State Burial Ceremony held to honour him for his good leadership and helping in building a strong Democracy for the nation.
Dignitaries with the likes of former president and political viral of him, J A Kufuor, the president of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo, the Vice President Of The Republic, Dr. Bawumia, former President Of The Republic and leader of Rawlings’ founded political party, John Dramani Mahama and other dignitaries were present to pay their last respect to the falling soldier.
