Fast rising Ghanaian Dancehall diva, Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, popularly known by her stage name as Ebony Reigns stunned us with her beauty and singing talent in the late 2015 when she released her first ever single which was a hit, “Dancefloor”. the said single eventually landed her a nomination for the “unsung” at the 2016 edition of the much talked about Award scheme, Vodafone Ghana Music Award(VGMA).
Ever since, the beautiful and young Dancehall diver continued giving us hit upon hits with the likes of ‘Kupe’ her major hit, Poison, Sponsor, Hustle, Maame Hw3, Date your father, Aseda, just to mention few.
Ebony Reigns just some few years(2015 – 2018) in the music industry set some legacy for herself as she became the first ever female songstress and youngest artist to win Artist Of The year at the 2018 edition of Vodafone Ghana Music Award(VGMA). She also won “Afro Pop song of the year’ with “Sponsor”, ‘Ablum Of The year’ with Bonyfied, her only album in the same year, 2018.
The 20 year old songstress got the heat of many Ghanaians with her God given talent. She barely suffer hit songs since all her song released was a hit!
Aside her hit songs and talent, the Dancehall diva was noted for her style of appearing on stage to perform since she doesn’t mind going almost n.ude to perform in any stage she finds herself.
However, Ghanaian woke up one morning, to a sad news of her demise with two others — a Military man and a female friend in a tragic accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi highway.
The said incident happened on a Thursday night, February 8, 2018, exactly three years Today after the car in which she was traveling with crushed with a VIP bus.
According to report she was returning from a visit to her mother when she met her untimely death.
