It’s quite unfortunate our celebs with look up to as our role models always misleading us in one way or the other. In us much as many always feel disappointed anytime a well respected personality makes an unexpected and uncalled for comment on critical issue, it appears to be no news since no one can predict the future and what one can turn into in just a twinkle of an eye.
Ghanaians as we speak are not happy with renowned and award wining Ghanaian midfielder who has played for the Ghana National Team, Black Star and also captained the team in several occasions, Micheal Essien after he made a comment concern the LGBTQ group in Ghana yesterday.
It obvious Ghanaians will never forgive him nor cherish him as a legend when it come to the history of Football in Ghana as he has lost respect from many Ghanaians with has affected his following on all his social media handles.
It was reported earlier today that, the footballer have lost over 500,000 followers on Instagram, where he publicly threw his support behind the LGBTQ group in Ghana and asked Ghanaians and the leaders of the country to do so.
Ghanaians on social media backlash him beyond measures to the extent of comparing him to other great footballer players in Ghana and other African countries of which made him delete the said post.
We Thought that was enough only to find out that, the worse has happen to him on social media via Twitter as he has almost lost all his african fans as more than half of his follower have unfollowed in after his endorsement.
Micheal Essien as we speak has lost more than 1.1 million followers on Twitter as his followers now stands at 688,000. Initially, Micheal Essien had more than 1.7 million followers on twitter.
Having said that we hope Ghanaians find a place in their heart to forgive him following his comment
