It is said that, the Nana Addo led Government have disappointed Ghanaians in terms of corruption as he has failed his fight against corruption in his first term in office as the president of the Republic. Many are of the view that, under his regime corruption has become ‘food’ his appointees including himself eat and it so disheartening.
Following this, award winning Ghanaian Gospel musician, Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong popularly known as Great Ampong has suggested that Ghana should go back to Military rule since that is the good way to reduce the rate at which corruption and treachery is eating up the county.
According to Great Ampong, aside corruption, treachery is also a problem Ghana is facing as a county since Ghanaians are not law abiding and the military rule is the only way to shape Ghanaians in terms of that on the grounds that, Military rule can go a long way to help Ghana.
Great Ampong suggested this in an interview on Accra-based Kingdom Plus.
“For a country that borrows money to produce songs to tell grown up men and women not urinate and dump rubbish on the streets, it’s imperative that we introduce Military rule so that the attitudes of the people will be shaped.
Democracy was not meant for Ghana, we need to go backto Military rule by amending some portions of our constitution” -Great Ampong
However, this have sparked a lot of controversies and reactions on social media after Political Activist, Kwame A Plus shared Ampong’s suggestion on his Facebook page.
Ghanaians in reaction to the suggestion of Great Ampong dragged him to the mud as they tagged him hypocrite for chopping NPP money and later come out to say corruption has become worse as far as Nana Addo is concern.
Though some slammed him for his suggestion, others side with him on the grounds that, that could be a great idea since all what Ghanaians understand is ‘force’ and the military rule is exactly that.
