Bad news for Ghanaian youth who are fighting for the betterment of the country with an hashtag #FixTheCountry as their plan to embark on a peaceful demonstration to tell the leaders of the county that, they are serious with the agenda has been stopped by the Ghana Police Service.
According to the Ghana Police Service, the plan of the #FixThrCountry movement to embark on the said demonstration come May 9, 2021 goes against the ban on public gatherings which is currently in place with other measures to help reduced the massive spread of the deadly Coronavirus pandemic hence can’t sanction the demo.
This didn’t go down well with Ghanaians musician cum political activist, Kwame A Plus as he took to his page to descend heavily on them — called them hypocrites and shameless people.
According to A plus, just last mother, April, two demonstrators were held against former president John Dramani Mahama and nothing was said about it, it was not also stopped but since it about the ruling government and it bad governance, they are saying due to the ban on public gatherings it can’t be sanctioned.
“Ghana Police Service, hypocrites!!! Shameless hypocrites!!! No wonder Dr Nyankson is a senior police officer. Very typical of you guys.
Just last month two demonstrations were held against president Mahama in Accra. One at kawukudi and the other at International press Centre. That time Covid-19 had traveled to Lesotho abi? Against John Mahama it was ok. Now that it is about fixing the whole country for all of us you are dragging your feet. Enemies of the state!!! This kind of bias policing has the tendency of getting you beaten like ASP Nanka Bruce when government changes.
You people don’t learn!!!
