Mining that is undertaken without the authorization of the state without no land rights, mining licenses and exploration is actually deemed to be illegal mining.
The Government of Ghana in the past weeks now have been very keen on getting rid of ‘Galamsey’ in Ghana as part of his priority in office.
About 200 soldiers have been deployed to Galamsey sites to help eradicate illegal mining operations in various areas as they are known as the Task-forces.
However, it can be recalled that Excavators and other mining equipments are being burnt by task forces in a new way of getting rid of illegal mining activities.
In a post sighted on Atinka TV, another set of Mining equipments have been burnt at River Offin as illegal mining activity was ongoing. In the shared photos, you could Excavators and Changfangs that has been set ablaze by task forces.
