Over the week, angry youth of the country took to social media to pour out their displeasure and disappointment in the ruling government led by his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo on the grounds that, hardship under this government is alarming hence the country needs to be fixed as promised by the president.
This social media rant on social and economic issues in the country came alone with an hashtag #FixTheCountry with over 600,000 tweets on twitter and other social media platforms.
An hashtag #fixyourself however popped up after the trend and according to those pushing the said agenda, citizens needs to fix themselves before asking the president to fix the country.
However, conveners of the FixTheCountry movement thought the hashtag was not enough to get the attention of the leader so the decided to embark on a peaceful demonstration to protest on the street for the government to know how serious they are.
The said demonstration was said to have happened today, but due to retrain by the Ghana police service, conveners and members of the agenda decided to do the protest in the virtual space ask they post pictures of their demands online.
In a number of photos fast trending on all social media platforms, angry youth could be seen with their protest sign with writings of their demands on them.
